21days to go
Area 7 Fall Leadership Conference, Fort Worth (other areas Oct 14–Nov 14), November 14

How to enroll

Through the school. Students join their school's FBLA chapter and the chapter adviser registers them for area, state and national conferences.

  1. Ask a business or CTE teacher whether your school has an FBLA chapter
  2. Join through the adviser in FBLA Connect (connect.fbla.org) and pay dues
  3. Ask the adviser which area your school is in; each area sets its own registration deadline before its January conference
By Texas FBLA has not posted a membership deadline for 2026–27. Join in the fall so you can be registered before your area conference in January 2027 (Area 7, Fort Worth, is Jan 30).

Texas Virtual FBLA ↗

In plain words

Future Business Leaders of America is a school club with competitive events in business, finance, technology and leadership. Events range from objective tests to presentations, websites and business plans. Texas high schoolers compete at an area conference in January to qualify for the State Leadership Conference in Fort Worth, Apr 4–6, 2027. State winners go to the National Leadership Conference in Columbus, Ohio, Jun 23–26, 2027. Texas also runs a virtual chapter for students whose school has no FBLA.

Great for

Kids who want a low-pressure first business competition. Many events are a test, no presenting needed.

Less ideal if

Your school has no chapter and the Texas virtual chapter isn't taking members yet
