How we check dates

Forwarded posts about competitions are often a year out of date. Runup.pro exists to fix that.

Two kinds of listings

Dates verified. We read the organizer's official page or guide, record each deadline, and show the date we checked it. Every night, a script re-reads those official pages. When something changes, that listing shows a “re-checking” note right away, and a person reviews the official page before the dates are updated.

Official link. For other competitions, we describe what they are and link straight to the official site. We never guess a date. Want dates for one? Tap "Request dates" on its page.

The Runup way of describing competitions

We say who a competition is great for, and when it's less ideal. That's our judgment, not the organizer's. Always confirm details with the organizer before you register.

Privacy

You can use everything without an account. Picking a grade, district or interests happens in your browser and isn't stored. If you sign in to save a list, we keep only your email address and the items you saved, never your child's name or details. If you join the Sunday digest, we keep your email plus the grade and district you picked, so the email fits; every digest has a one-tap unsubscribe that deletes it. Accounts are for parents and guardians, and students 13 or older. You can turn off reminder emails or delete your account and list at any time from the Account page. We count page visits anonymously so we know what's useful, using our own counter and Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service: no cookies, no tracking across sites, and no analytics at all on the sign-in and My list pages. We don't sell data and don't show ads aimed at kids.
