In plain words
The South Asian Spelling Bee is open to spellers anywhere who meet its age limit (for 2026, born on or after Sep 1, 2011). In 2026 every regional was held online by video call in June, with cities such as Dallas used as names only. Each regional starts with a 25-word written test (18 correct to move on), then an oral miss-and-out round. The top 2 spellers from each regional win cash prizes and advance to the National Finals. 2027 dates and fees were not posted as of mid-October 2026.
